2013 Marty Balin Concert DVD Label
The Marty Balin "Soulful" DVD (2013) was created for Living Legends Music, Inc. in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Photographs were furnished by Steve Benton Photography. Photographs of Marty Balin paintings were furnished by the artist. The main requirement was that it was to feature both the artist and his paintings. Each tile mosaic was created from scanned images of wood, metal and fabric. Selected paintings were used as tiles to complement both the photo images and tile colors. Once the choice of photos was approved by Living Legends Music, color of the tiles was chosen by sampling the colors within the photos (since that's what the eye restricts once a photo has been introduced to a design) - and a light teal and blue was the most complementary. Completed in Photoshop with Dream Suite filters.
