My name is Robert Last. I am a designer with over 14 years experience. I have been involved in many various arena’s of design, advertising, publishing and cross media integration. I regard myself as a digital specialist – although my formal training is predominantly print based. My experience enables me to look into all forms of media and how best to manipulate it. In these times of agencies and clients wanting more “Digital” experience I feel that I am a perfect candidate to marry the traditional forms of print based design to the more dynamic media solutions. Recently I have used these skills to create “Rich Media” presentations for UEFA. These presentations were PDF based and using flash animations, video and audio to create the WOW factor. All the presentations were nonlinear, which meant that the presenter could skip to areas of the presentation that they needed to get to easily. All presentations were accompanied with a highly illustrative book. ( I have created rich wire frame web sites for clients that combine the print based and the web based designs to compliment each other. These have then been passed onto developers to create the back end and server based behaviours. Recently I completed a Motion Graphics course. This has been a successful addition to my skill set as it allowed me to create bespoke video edits for the UEFA presentations and create professional DVD menu’s for both UEFA and World Rally Championship.
