Super rapid numerical 3D drawing and hand sketching (concept and scope definition). 2. Very fast hand calculations. 3. Verifying the solution using FEM/FEA Within a few iterations a working soliton is found. I prefer EUROCODES... but ... design various things based on various standards. A degree in material science allows to work with pretty much any material known to man... FEM/FEA - is an extremely powerful technique, and extremely rapid when applied correctly.
