“I am an engineer from Nagpur University, Maharashtra. I joined the B.E course in 1999. From the past 1 year after I completed my B.E (Winter 2004), I have jumped in programming in several fields which I think will be a plus for me considering the fact that I have an Electronics (Industrial) Engg. Degree.
I suffered a setback when I had an extremely serious bike accident (skull fracture) in 3rd year, due to which my degree was delayed by 1 year, and my health related problems also didn't help me complete the degree in time. But a delayed degree does not take away from you what you are capable of doing.
Currently I have completed my Oracle 9i certification course and will appear for the certification exam shortly. I have also completed the course work for C#.Net and Advanced Java course. Besides I already know C programming, and algorithms for sorting, searching, matrix operations etc.
Apart from programming, I am passionate about computer gaming and soccer can regularly defeat the computer on Age of Empire I,II and Age of Mythology, Rise of Nations, Call of Duty, Desert storm, Serious Sam, Will Rock, Warcraft 3 to name a few. It is one of my most favorite pastimes, and one day I hope to enter the world of Game Programming.
When I suffered the skull injury, it was my introduction to the lapses of the Indian system. I was placed in a Govt. hospital by scared friends, where there was no doctor on duty, and a nurse was applying tincture of iodine to a broken skull. When my Dad and Mom flew into town, they were shocked at the state I was in. As was said later, I could have easily lost my life that night had they been a little too late. Fortunately, nothing like that happened, and I bounced back soon enough. But a scar on my forehead is a reminder of the close encounter with death.ý?
