MIDDLE SCHOOL PROJECT
This is a new middle school campus that incorporates sustainable strategies throughout, making the architecture a teaching and learning tool. The campus takes advantage of the mild climate with outdoor classrooms, manages stormwater on site, uses daylighting, shading, and natural ventilation to maintain user comfort, and employs green roof and photovoltaic technologies. This middle school was an ideal project for me because I was able to participate in many phases of the project. I assisted in the design of the master plan and buildings, created 3d models for schematic designs and design development, conducted a site investigation and produced drawings from schematic through construction documents.
