On Wings of Steel - a work of fan fiction
One of my most recent projects, Wings of Steel was completed in the Summer of last year. It was meant to be an entry-piece into a larger series of stories set in the canon of Warhammer 40,000. However, that went nowhere, and instead was left a semi-decent novella where one might enjoy themselves even though they haven't the slightest idea what's going on. What makes it special to me is the effort I put into making it a piece that fit perfectly into the larger project I was attempting to join. OWS fixed plotholes and guided plot towards a reasonable conclusion, while also being the first non-episodic work I've ever done. It follows a sequence and is formatted in a professional manner - and above all it's even available as a PDF! What a thing.
About Me
I'm an English student, but my upbringing has given me access to many different vocations. I definitely do, however, consider writing to be my prime field. I am honestly sick of being told I have a 'good voice' - be it for radio, acting, podcasts, or something else more contrived. I'm definitely no singer, but if there's one thing I'm confident of it's my ability to speak; when I read from a prompt I simply need to read it with actual emotion... demonstrate I actually care about what I'm reading, or the person I'm talking to.
