First of all, I try to not limit myself to the one specific field of knowledge.
Being a biology student at the NSU (Novosibirsk State University), I sincerely believe in it's motto ("We will not make you smarter, we will teach you how to think"). The structure of the Faculty of natural sciences is such that I had courses in calculus, programing, phylosophy, history, economics, music theory and just about anything having to do with natural sciences except for geology and archaeology, but we have special courses for that. My understanding is that it forced me and my fellow students to develop a universal problem solving system that can be applied to any area of academic or any other type of knowledge and data and produce results in a reasonable amount of time (they taught us how to think).
My bachelor's diploma was done in neuroinflamation lab ("An inquiry into the effects of the autophagy inductors Rapamycin and Trehalose on a pharmacological model of Alzheimer's disease in mice"), before that I worked at the Research Institute of Physiology and Basic Medicine in the laborotory of disruption of cognition and emotion under Lipina Tatiana Viktorovna, who previously worked as an associate professor at the University of Toronto. Unfortunately, she left the institute and I had to switch. I also worked for a short time in 2020 at the institute of mechanochemistry under Dr. Dushkin in the field of drug delivery methods, particularly In dry (no liquids) chemical reactions and special mills for making the substance more accessible.
Unfortunately, the events of 2020 happened, the drug delivery project was put on ice, so I made most of it and found a job in a commercial lab that does the Covid19 tests and other diagnostics for about 1.6-2 (with bonuses) dollars an hour, which is considered a normal wage for a young person where I'm from. My main focus was on working in the contagious zone with the samples of the virus.
At some point I realized that I can not combine a full-time job with continuing my education and thus I'm on the lookout for sources of income to supplement my modest earnings from academic pursuits.
I studied English seriously at the language school from 6 to 11 grade and would rate myself at about C1 plus I have plenty of experience reading scientific articles and some experience writing them in both Russian and English.
To summarise, If the task is engaging and the wokload/price ratio is acceptable, I can do it.
