These are all photographs from a fashion shoot in Portland Oregon. The shoot was for a final portfolio collection designed by my best friend Kathleen Chavez. This was one of my favorite shoots, from the digital era. If it weren't good enough that I was the photographer, I also cut the garment, and did all the finishing work on the garment.
About Me
I am a digital media professional. I specialize in video editing, directing, and writing. My training comes from the great technical education I received at the Art institute, as well as the experience of a great practical education at Los Angeles City College, the start for many well known creative successes. My experience over the past decade has given me the opportunity to test many of my skills, as well as learn a lot of new ones along the way. With over 15 years of creative experience, there are few challenges I will not face. When you hire me, I will show you that I am a good problem solver, and a born leader with a wealth of ideas. I am a jack of all trades, but I am best at a few things. First and foremost I am a director. In school I had a passion for guiding a set toward a singular vision. Nothing makes me feel better than an passionate team of artists working toward one goal. To be a director would have never crossed my mind if it weren't for my love for writing. I have a deep appreciation for the crafting of words, and storytelling. While writing and directing are the most glamourous, one could argue that editing is the most important. There was a poster on the wall of my school that read "Editing is not a technical process, it is the FINAL creative process." Indeed, this is why my primary focus here will be as an editor. Here in my studio I have a custom built editing system designed from the ground up to meet my own personal high standards for video quality. As such, I am capable of editing up to 4K resolution. So, don't hold back; together we make anything we can imagine. In regards to my "jack of all trades" description, I have a variety of experience in various related industries. In addition to my core professional training, I also have over 6 years of training in the fashion industry. I have experience building computer and networking systems. Additionally, I am a fantastic salesman! These experiences and skills combine to make me a well-rounded professional able to tackle anything that comes my way.
