About NanaGrams I chose "Nanagrams" as a "company name" because even my adult kids call me "Nana" half the time, and it seems to work, (along with the wordplay on "anagrams.") I'm a company of one, not a copywriting shop. Instead of rearranging letters, I'm helping people to rearrange WORDS. They usually know WHAT they want to say. I just help them to place their words in the right order, and to express those words a bit more eloquently. I'm a retired Tech writer with B.A. in English from an American University, plus an 18- month Diploma in Data Processing Technology. I first worked 7-8 years as a news and feature writer for a local newspaper, gaining interviewing and organizational skills (without a computer) I used to bang out the copy out on an old second hand Royal typewriter. I moved into technical writing after studying Data Processing. I've had 15+ years of experience writing end user documentation for a variety of point of sale (POS) applications, including restaurant applications in the POS division of a major electronics manufacturer, retail applications for a major POS systems manufacturer, and a proprietary retail optical application for a national eyeglasses retailer. I have natural curiosity about how things work, whether writing about software, science, or saxophones. (I read music, too). I'm a solo act, not a writer's group. I'll work one-on-one with you, and try very hard to ensure that YOUR voice comes through in the copy, whatever the project is. Sue M.
