I created an educational app (more specifically a diagnostic app) that can help people to know their level in maths and english (mainly) and to get ready to their SAT, ACT or TOEFL exams through tests (normal tests and "Listening").

My app includes some other interesting features, like "College Search", but the main one is the tests section.

My main goal is to inject some vibrancy into my app through the addition of an animated character - a pencil. I've chosen a pencil as my new character because our logo consists of a pencil, and the name of it will be "Loopie". I envision this pencil as a lively, engaging part of the user experience that not just enhances interactivity, but also amplifies the learning environment.

I already contacted a person who will design and animate my character, but the fact is I have to tell him exactly what to do, and here's where the purpose of this brainstorming starts, because even that I have a few ideas, it's only one brain thinking, and I'm looking for something very engaging.

What I expect on this context is to gather some interesting ideas regarding the description I'll write below, choose the most cool ones and, of course, the prize will be for that candidate.

My app already has a preliminary version of "Loopie" (that I like quite a lot), when you start a new timed test, you'll see the animated "Loopie" walking faster as time goes by, like indicating the user it is running out of time, and for the moment it looks quite funny, but I wonder if I could go further and create something even more engaging.

The idea of introducing an animated character arises from being used "Duolingo" for a while, a very popular app for learning languages full of very engaging animated characters that I like very much.

Not to make this feature intrusive, I'll set it as optional through settings.

I was thinking on maybe four or five animations and one or two static images of my character, for example:

I could add one static image of it in the PDF the app generates with tests records, or in the exported Excel file, or in any other place, and regarding the animations, maybe most of them should appear when a user is taking a test, for example one could be "Loopie" appearing from a side and knocking the glass of your device (I should then add the sound to make it more realistic) and saying "Hi", or "Hurry Up", or just the current pencil running faster as time goes by.

The prize for the winner will be $50, and the only thing you will have to do is to install my app, have a general look at it, take a test, and then use your imagination / creativity -thinking on something not so complex- and let me know your ideas.
