Gabriel's Horn, the name of the company, is a mathematical shape that has finite volume yet infinite surface area (pictures can be found online). The concept behind the symbol is that things that seem impossible are not necessarily so. Furthermore, the symbol evokes the notion of the archangel Gabriel blowing his horn to announce the end of the world, the point being that one has limited time and ought to live life to the fullest. This leads to the company's slogan: "for the love of cars." The business model of the company is similar to RelayRides (AirBnB but for cars), the key difference being emphasis: we build a sense of community for its own sake and let profit follow, whereas they are overtly profit-driven. Owner membership will be limited to those with luxury and vintage cars. Just because not everyone can afford to have a garage like Jay Leno does not mean they do not have the desire to drive cars like he does. In fact, many people do. We bring people with a fabulous car (or cars) to people who would like to drive them, generating relationships based on the shared love of cars in the process.

The logo needs to be one of these types:

1) A three-dimensional, metallic representation of the shape (Apple/Twitter esque), possibly with oval surrounding (Mazda/Hyundai esque);

OR

2) Gabriel blowing the horn (Puegot/Jaguar/Ferrari esque), possibly with company name and/or slogan underneath (acceptable font categories: glyphic serifs, square sans serifs, humanistic sans serif).

OR

3) Any other highly creative idea that manifests the nature of the company and what we stand for.

There are many entries that I really like that do not have the three different slides I am looking for. One slide should have just the symbol. One should have the symbol and company name. One should have the symbol and the slogan. I will not make exceptions: each of these will be useful in different situations, and I need all three.

I just rejected quite a few entries. Do not take it personally, I just want it to be clear to each designer which of their entries is either in the running, or worth the time to fix.

From now on, I want all entries to include the following: 1) one with just a symbol (ie wings, GH, etc.), 2) one with the symbol and "Gabriel's Horn", 3) one with the symbol and "for the love of cars". Approach this like nike: you have the symbol, which is recognizable, you have the symbol with "nike" on top, and you have the symbol with "just do it." The winning entry will include these 3 types within one entry #.
