We are in need of a new logo for our preschool. We are looking for something that combines both text and an icon/symbol. We have a general direction in mind, but are open to any ideas. We would like the logo to have a modern feel to it.

Our preschool's name is
JARDÍN INFANTIL ALEMÁN
DEUTSCHER KINDERGARTEN SANTA MARTA
CENTRO DE EDUCACIÓN MONTESSORI"
it's a bilingual (German / Spanish) Montessori guided Kindergarten / Preschool in Santa Marta Colombia, Santa Marta is a town at the coast so an idea I once had was maybe using a seahorse in the logo. Please do not copy logos from other companies or use logos that could bring us any legal trouble!! thank you

    Dear participantes, I strongly encourage everyone to submit their own ideas and not copy designs from others with high ratings. I do notice some similarities in recent posts. But also the idea of using a seahorse was given by myself in the description and I too told participant #108 to include a tree. So even if there are similarities I cannot say either all logos using seahorse and tree are copied per se. I am neither set on a specific design yet nor on specific colours. So there is really still room for creativity. If you see several posts with high rating using similar designs (and that actually started with #108 using both three and sea horse in #115 as I told her) it’s because people decided to stick to similar designs that had gotten a good rating. But that does not mean that a good idea being totally different doesn’t stand a chance anymore. Also I’ve requested changes from several older posts that were completely different but didn’t get them yet. So it’s still an open contest

      Regarding choice of colours it was the Latin American participants (who probably are still asleep right not due to different time zones) who started to use the colours of the German flag and some also included the colours of the Colombian flag since they investigated or knew other German - Latin schools. So also those colours have been used before. I liked the idea but again I am not sold on a specific choice of colour yet. If you decide to go for something totally different that is fine. What I cannot give a 5 star rating however is a simple stock image with no adaption what so ever. So the reason you currently see many similar logos is because people decided to keep working on designs they found I liked. But as I said there is still time and room for completely new ideas.

      I made a general reply to everyone on the board. You are right I have seen many using much from
      Your idea but also I have told everyone on the board seahorse was an initial idea of mine and I requested #108 to include a tree what she did in #115 so I cannot ban every seahorse and tree combination as copy either because using both icons was something that had been done before. But thank you for making me aware I will consider before closing the contest. There is still time for a final decision
