  Some of the designers have requested more elaboration on what the machine would look like in a realistic environment. I am required to use the mockup so I did a photo realistic rendering of it called "Mockup". For those who wanted more detail this is what I can provide. For the others who have received feedback about being on the right track please stay on the track you are going down.

  another initial concept #8 please check... by the way do you have 3D illustration or photo of your product.. I know you posted some pictures but I would like to know how it stands on ground etc. (interaction within the place) would be more helpful...

     I will see if I can do a photo render of it sitting on a surface to help you get a better idea of how it would interact with the environment. There is only so much I can show without divulging design secrets. A couple things though. We are not looking for a humanoid design but rather a humanoid personality in a machine. Also the "food" (if you will) gets loaded into the grinder from the top however there are submissions that are getting good reviews from the machine having more of a face and being fed from the front. The main suggestion is to take your design strategy from a vertical humanoid-ish machine to something that is horizontal .

     #9 I am not sure what to suggest with this one. It is a vote-able design just as it is. You have done a great job of taking the monster's personality of ravenous eating and put the mischievousness and playfulness in it that we were looking for. The color scheme we weren't quite expecting. But that is the beauty of all the different artistic approaches. Feel free to submit variants they can only add to your odds of landing in the winners circle. As for this submission... We are going to have to "Nom" on it for a while and get back to you. If this is the only submission you wish to do I would say that you are safe holding where you are for voting unless we can come up with any suggestions.

     Nice initial sketch but I believe that direction is not quite what the panel has in mind. If you take a look at the images that I have uploaded of the rough profile and model more off those you would have a better chance at being voted the winner. Also please have another look at the brief to get an idea of what the machine does. That images reminds me of the robot maid "Rosy" form the cartoon "The Jetsons.   ****UPDATE****
  The contest is now "GUARANTEED"
  
  After a vote from our panel the group has now decided that due to the quality of the submissions that have been done thus far. We have a few different submissions that will do okay for our project an the risk of being locked into a few submissions with nothing to really work with has been removed. We are still looking for the home run design though. Also.. I will be in charge of coaching each and every artist towards winning the contest. The final decision will be done VIA poll by all the parties involved with the project and will be done at the end of the contest duration.

  We want this to look somewhat like a ravenous plastic eating beast of a machine while maintaining a balance in a humorous way so that a 5yr old can see it without getting nightmares. the closest thing I can think of is the personality of TAZ in a machine.

  Good job bringing the machine to life and making the "featured" parts clearly visible. Remember this machine only works with plastic and turns it into a type of plastic string that gets loaded onto the spool from the rear. The (what looks to be) refuse pile seems to create confusion on weather it is a garbage recycler or a plastic recycler. Pertaining to character. Have a look at this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOTlNOZB4Zo. Looney tunes had a way of taking an otherwise scary character and portray it in a humorous way. That is the direction that we are tying to go.
