css fix for banner slider

the banner slider is very strange here. when browser size is made smaller even parts on left and right side disappear.
i need behaviour like img-responsive from bootstrap.
that means:
for browser width: 1920 px
slider width: = 1920 px
slider height = 438 px
for browser width: 960 px
banner slider should be full visible
width: 960px
height; 219px
