We're creating a label for Garlic softgels 100 ct... need someone to design good looking label with limit of 3 colors i will give all information to the label which would be 4"x6" in size here are the specs required by the label factory: 1. ACCEPTABLE FORMATS: All artwork should be submitted in one of the following file formats: Adobe Illustrator v.8.0 or less, Adobe Photoshop v.2.5 or less, Macromedia Freehand v.8.0 or less, or Quark XPress v.4.0 or less. All ancillary placed graphics must also be saved in one of these formats, Certain files can be accepted from PC-based applications, but due to the unpredictable nature of cross-platform transfers such files will need to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for compatibility. Whenever possible, black-and-white or color proofs should be submitted with the artwork in order to evaluate the translation of any converted files. 2. ACCEPTABLE MEDIA: ******* has the capacity to read files presented on 3.5" floppy disks, ZIP disks, and CD-ROM's. We cannot accept files on JAZ, Syquest, DVD, or optical disks, or DAT tapes. Any files that are compressed must include the appropriate software necessary to decompress them, or they must be saved as Self-Extracting Archives. 3. TYPE AND LINES: For best print quality, font size should not go below 5 pts. for positive type, or 6 pts. for type reversed out of a solid background. Also, reversed type should have an additional stroke of [url removed, login to view] pt. outlining it to compensate for any spreading of the ink. Line thickness should not go below 0.5 point (.007 inches) to avoid warping or curving while under tension. Screen and printer versions of any fonts used must be provided along with artwork, or all type should be converted to outlines ahead of time. 4. All bleeds should extend at least 0.0625' past the'dieline. For non-bleed labels, all art should be at least 0.0625" away from the edge of the die cut. 5. SEPARATION SET-UP: Please make sure that all colors used in the file are designated as spot or process colors ahead of time, or supply instructions upon submission of artwork. Whenever possible, black-and-white laser printouts of all separations would be greatly appreciated in order to facilitate inspection and proofing of film. Any special instructions (overprinting for certain inks, unusual halftone screen frequencies, etc.) should also be submitted along with digital artwork. If it has already been set up within the art file, the customer must indicate the position of any pattern varnishes.
