Organize my Mac storage

My wife takes tens of thousands of pictures. The mass of files clogs up her Mac and it is so slow as to be nearly unusable. We've bought space on iCloud but the task of moving the photos there, preserving the quality, etc., just takes too much time, and if anything unexpected happens we don't know how to deal and we never make the time to figure it out. I'd like to hire someone for a few days until all her files are organized, on the Cloud, she knows how to get them back at high quality when she wants them, and the computer is restored to usability.
