We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer with expertise in reverse engineering to help us with a furniture project that is less a week long. The successful candidate should have experience in CAD, Design for Manufacturing, Engineering Design, Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, Reverse Engineering, and SolidWorks.
The project requires the engineer to reverse engineer a mechanical product and create a detailed design for manufacturing. The candidate should have a track record of delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
The modification/improvement compare to existing product are:
- 140cm diamter solid wood worktop
- Detachable worktop without any tools
- Update the tube dimension to become compatible with a 140cm worktop
- Update the foot lenght to become compatible with 140cm worktop
- Update the handle brake stick to match the new diameters
- Low quantity (no injection mold, no metal casting...).
- Product should be done with affordable and common transformation technology , i.e. metal sheet and with stock product hardware
- The hardware should be easy to purchased Europe and in low quantity (less than 50 unit).
ALTERNATIVE TO BE INCLUDED:
- 3 legs instead of 4
- square tube for the central foot instead of round one.
- Legs with tubes instead of flat metal sheet
The deliverable are:
- Manufacturing drawing with tolerances for cutom made part
- explode view and BIM with all references and purchased link for non custom made part
- Section view and all views necessary for manufacturing
- Native file for parts and assembly (preferably solidworks 2021)
