We need a data analyst that has the ability to code in perl. You will be doing the following:
- Analyzing web server logs and gleaning reports and information from them.
- Running ad-hoc reports on web server logs.
- Building mysql databases of information gleaned from logs. (PS: If you are good at SQL, that is a huge plus).
Requirements:
- I need someone who lives and breathes "DATA". You think "DATA" and you know how to make sense of data. Data analysis is your passion.
- Ability to code in perl (regexp, sorting, hashes, etc) and Linux scripting (if you recognize these commands you are good: cut, tee, tac, gawk)
- Analysis ability in SQL is a good plus.
- [BIG PLUS] Available to work in US Eastern time zone.
The right bidder should be an expert in data analysis as I have a lot of follow on work (so this project is just the initial test). If you have done data analysis work before, Please bid with samples of your work. This will really help me understand your skills. I wont be considering applications with useless notes like "Can be done" or "Lets start". Please note: This is just the start. Please DO NOT bid if you wont be available for follow-on projects.
We have done a lot of projects on scriptlance and usually result in follow-on work. We are very easy to work with and usually do not hassle on things (as long as work is done). If work is great, you will be aptly rewarded.
