We are planning to higher telemarketers to work on a very simple Lead Management tool that you will develop quickly.
We require the admin to access a mysql database with a php application. The admin has the ability to create records and
also to create users. The admin has the ability to assign records to specific users or to all the users. Records can only be edited
at the admin level. Users will have the ability to add server time and date stamped comments to each record. Users cannot
edit or delete comments. The admin requires the ability to search records via the record status and also other record variables.
The user can flag a record to a meeting indicator (this indicates that the user has spoken to a customer and setup a meeting)
The meeting date is also set by the user using a date picker. The goal is to make a simple contact management system that gives the
user only the necessary functions. The admin needs to be able to produce a report showing a users comments on records.
The SYSTEM
1. Admin Level
-can create new records (records are assigned to all users or to specific users)
-can modify records
-can add comments

-can change record status (open,closed,meeting)
-can create new users (user level and admin level users)

records can be viewed by record status open, meeting and closed for admin

record search results show summary Company Name, Email,FirstName,Lastname, Contact phone numbers,best time to call, and a link to last comment. (note variables not in any particular order at this time)
2. User Level
-cannot modify records
-can add a comment (server date and time stamped)
-cannot modify added comments
-can change the record status to meeting and can change the record status to closed.
-each status change requires a comment.
3. Reports
User Level
The user can run a report to view all open records that are assigned to that user (not admin can assign a record to all users)
The user can run a report to view all records that were closed by that user
The user can run a report to view all the records assigned to a meeting by that user
The admin requires the ability to track the success of each communication. Therefore comment search should be easily accessible to the admin
The way I picture the system working is this.
The admin logs into the system.
The admin creates users (note admin can create users at anytime and can edit user details)
Note admin can create users that have admin level access
The admin creates a record and assigns that record to a user, not record default is open when created and default assignment is all users
The user logs into the system using the username and password provided by the admin.
The user views open records. The user reads the record and makes contact with the prospect of the record. The user then records the success of the communication
(note that the comment is date stamped and time stamped using the server time)
