Handset GPS Tracking Application

Our company is one of Canada's leading internet based GPS tracking service providers. We are curently highly specialized in stolen vehicle recovery and fleet management solutions.

Recently our customers have asked that our services include the ability to track not only vehicles equipped with our devices, but also mobile telephones, allowing to track the employee.

We have concluded that we want to use the Motorola i730 handset, which uses the iden networks (Nextel in the US/Telus in Canada). This handsed comes with a feature rich J2ME environment;

Users would simply upload the application into their phone via a wireless data connection to our server. The application would have a small GUI allowing the mobile user to turn the application on or off, and toggle their working state (On-Duty/Off-Duty/Break). The application will simply poll the built-in GPS sensor regularly (remotely programmable from our website to: Time based / Distance based / PTT pressed / State change) and send the obtained position/speed/heading via the wireless data connection to our server, in a pre-defined message format. From that point, on-line users will be able to locate employees via their handsets as they already do to locate vehicles via our GPS devices installed inside them.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows:

a) Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's ASP server environment.

b) The 'mobile application' will automatically be installed in the handset, in ready-to-run condition, at the request from any compatible handset specified in this bid request, via the ASP servers.

c) The 'mobile application' itself shall be bug free and compatible with all Motorola iden GPS equipped J2ME handsets, as mentioned in Motorola documentation.

d) The overall solution will be seamless and identical to our other On-Line GPS tracking products

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
