Ajax and Wordpress plugin modification

We have almost finished a hotel website and we are using a third party plugin that uses ajax to perform a few queries regarding the room availability.
We need this modifying to account for several rooms being of the same type/room category.
Right now if we make a booking or block out one room for a time period, the plugin blocks all rooms in that category for those dates.
This is a pretty straightforward job for someone who knows what they are doing and please do not try to blind us with science, we are not amateurs or newbs, we know the task, we know the level of effort and expertise required, this is a couple of hours work for a pro.
