Fix webbapp not opening camera

We have a project where we've built a webapp for conducting online interviews.
It's seems like something is wrong with the Java script because the camera does open on any device when called upon. The webbapp is suppose to ask for permission to access the camera and microphone but it does not seem to work properly.
The system is built with laravel 8.x
