Innovative Backpack Design Engineer Needed

I am looking for a seasoned design engineer who has hands on experience with luggage items, specifically backpacks and suitcases, and with mechanical aspects. I'm working on a project that couples an everyday backpack with various movable elements. The primary features include - expandable compartments, a retractable frame, and adjustable straps.

The project involves designing an integral frame with hinges that will become an integral part of the backpack, and not visible. Once complete the backpack will look like any other normal backpack, when the integral system is not in use. Right now, nothing is concrete yet, I require assistance to design these elements. The preferred material for the integral frame and hinges is metal such as lightweight, steel and maybe strong sturdy aluminum elements.

What I need accomplished for this project includes:

• Designing the integral frame and hinges

• 3D renderings

• Preparing CAD drawings suitable for manufacturing

Ideal Skills:

• Proficiency in 3D Modelling and CAD

• Prior experience with luggage design, preferably backpacks and suitables

• In-depth understanding of mechanical design and materials, particularly metals,

• Ability to work under NDA
