175240 simple command line script

We are using the windows media encoder command line utility to encode a bunch of films and need to create a simple command line script that will run a batch of files. the command line script will invoke the .vbs script.
it should start something like
for %i in (*.avs) do cscript e:\encoder\[url removed, login to view] -input "%~i" -output "%~[url removed, login to view]" -v_codec WVC1 (and we have more variables to attach here which will not effect the function of the script).
I don't need someone to know the media encoder so much but just how to create the command line script to encode a folder full of files. evidently you can point to the folder, but we would rather set it up to invoke the script for each encoding job (and that is why we are using the For command.
probably need the script to point to the folder and possibly save a log (if possible) and other features the programmer may suggest that would help us in this process.
need this done immediately! someone that knows this stuff should be able to write it in a few minutes.
