My tutor has advised me that at this stage I have an excellent chance of obtaining this qualification. My intention is to carry out freelance translations from both French and Russian into English.

A varied and challenging position, assisting in all aspects of the marketing mix from giving marketing support on the design and development of brochures, publicity material, and advertising material, to ensuring advertising deadlines were met and direct mail pieces and internal marketing communications were produced regularly. In addition to this I provided a logistics and administration service for all marketing events and acted as the day-to-day organiser of marketing events. The position required the ability to work under my own initiative, organise my time and prioritise my workload.

Customer Service Officer September 1997 – October 1998
The main function of this role was to deal with enquiries from consumers relating to the Data Protection Act both in writing within 28 days and on the telephone, this meant liaising with credit providers, ensuring that the database holding credit information was up to date, and carrying out any amendments to the database. This role not only gave me a working knowledge of the Data Protection Act, but also taught me the importance of working accurately within a prescribed time frame.

Working in a call centre, duties included taking bookings, tracking and tracing parcels, investigating customer complaints and liaising with depots. I also dealt with calls in French and Russian in particular dealing with customs in Russia.
