*** Payment Terms ***
I have 2 payment schemes and in every project(except very small ones) I prefer either of them to be followed. They have the following flow:
1) You pay 20% of the bid amount upfront and place the rest into escrow at the beginning. When the job is done you release the escrow and you get result of the work.
2) You place 50% of the bid amount into escrow. In the middle of the project(we agree what's the middle exactly) you release the 50% and place the remaining 50% into escrow. When the job is done you release the last escrow and you get result of the work.
In both of the cases I do the job locally and place it on my public server where you can see how it works.
These schemes are negotiable in case of long term relation opportunities and maybe in other cases as well. Please contact me to discuss. I have such requirements because I am trying to minimize risks related to payments. I have very bad experience regarding to this matter. Please also note that everything about the payments should be negotiated before starting a project.
*** Notes for buyers ***
- Changing project scope during working process without changing a budget is not acceptable. I will require additional funds for the additional things. Everything about a project should be discussed BEFORE starting the project. Also if you expect any revisions or small changes please let me know BEFORE starting so that I have it in mind.
- Usually I don't offer free maintenance/support after completing a project and therefore it isn't included in my bid by default. If you want support or something similar please discuss it with me BEFORE starting a project. Otherwise you will have to pay for it additionally(usually by my hourly rate).
