This example showcases the use of natural language processing and text analytics. I build a model that took in twitter data bases on keywords the client was interested in. The program then separated the tweets into buckets based on their content and gave them a sentiment score. The data inside these tweets were then placed in a dashboard for marketing managers to understand better how their products are being received by the general public.

Text Analytics Example

Creating dashboards is an extremely useful tool to get a better understanding of your organizations data. In my previous role at Ferguson PLC as a business intelligence analyst, I was responsible for building dashboards to make sales, operations, marketing, and finance data make sense to managers.

This example was build for an app start up, who wanted to understand what sort of apps were being downloaded in the Google Play store. The needed this data to be able to position themselves more competitively in the market.

Business Intelligence Example

This example shows the uses of a regression to estimate the price of a currency based on relevant economic data. Over 1400 pieces of unique economic data was analyzed in order to find the most accurate variable to put in the model. This model is being used by forex traders to more accurately asses the 'real' price of a currency when making trades.

Price Estimation with Regression Example

The project was made for a researcher who was studying the effects of age and sex on athletic performance in track and field athletes. The client needed 20 visualizations to display her data to tell a story about her findings.

Data Visualization Example

This matching algorithm was placed into an API and launched with AWS so it could be accessed from anywhere in the world. The function of this program was to take the users JSON input and compare it was a government database. The resulting output is a list of potential matches from the government database. This program was created to handle misspellings, data in incorrect places, missing data, and more.

This program could be used in many other applications including matching products from a e-commerce website and more.

Matching Algorithm API

This web scraper was built into an API and launched with AWS so it could easily be called from anywhere. It accepts JSON data from the user and scrapes a government database website for relevant information based on the input data. It is capable of producing hundreds of data points in seconds.
