Project Description:
Transaction Processing Infrastructure for core banking, based on IBM’s flagship Web Sphere software and eServer and TotalStorage systems. This open, standards-based platform uses a services-oriented architecture to deliver core banking functions as flexible web services. For CST, IBM is enhancing Web Sphere by boosting transaction processing throughput, incorporating batch processing capabilities, and extending system monitoring/management capabilities, thus meeting the mission-critical operating requirements of core-banking systems.
IBM and strategic partner Fidelity Information Services are now delivering the first implementation of CST, a version of Fidelity’s Corebank product that has been rearchitected as a fully compliant Java application exploiting CST infrastructure including IBM zSeries, pSeries and TotalStorage.
PWS in this project is in charge of developing some part of this new Java version is available immediately and has been shipped in Japan under the name “Next Evolution in Financial Services Systems” (NEFSS), and has been delivered to the first client, Suruga Bank.

Project Description:
EAI acts as an infrastructure for existing KBANK’s Enterprise Information Systems (EISs) integration. By development of the EIS backend adapters using connector technology such as JCA, EAI provides bi-directional interface for EISs to access each other’s data and services. EJB and Web Services, two kinds of business service interface on J2EE platform, were created in the first phase of EAI project to allow accessing of services on multiple EISs, such as Customer Information System and SAFE system on CICS, Customer Relationship Management on PeopleSoft, Loan Portfolio Management on AS/400, and various databases on Lotus Notes. EAI provides manageable business process workflows, and standardized access to data and service on distinctive EISs.

A modern finance system is necessary to a modern economy, and capital market is an important component of a modern finance system. So the improvement of Thailand’s stock market is crucial for the construction of Thailand’s market economy.
Because of the innate information asymmetry and incentive incompatibility of finance market, moral hazard will be prevalent without sound regulation. So the regulation of stock market is important. However, if most listed enterprises are not viable, or the holding company still have social or strategic burdens, stock market can only be used by enterprises to swindle money and any efforts to improve regulation will bear no fruits.
