Amicus Networks - Debugged legacy Perl code in their custom libraries. Wrote software to parse data sent in various forms, from customers and make the information accessible via the web. Interfaces Sybase and Oracle databases running on Solaris and Linux servers with Perl.
Rocksteady Networks - Migrated legacy Perl code for new product release. Wrote Perl module to interface product utilizing SSL client and server certificates, talking to LDAP and SOAP-like interface. Wrote driver for CGI::Session module. Initial development of Perl SDK for new product. Rewrote product system scripts to minimize install requirements while keeping existing existing functionality.
Bank of America – R&D Security Software analysis, detection, and tool development. Developed software for vulnerability assessment and infection rate projections. Risk analysis for lines of business developed. Alert system monitoring deviations in survivability. Developed tools for gathering netflow traffic logs automatically when critical alerts occur for further analysis. Integrated alert and paging system with traffic capture control software. Honeypot system design, integration, and custom application development. Integration of Bank appli- cations, both 3rd party and internally developed with products from NetForensics, Mazu Networks, Vontu, Arbor, and others. Implemented change control system and project management with various open source software in- cluding subversion and Trac.
Advert Tech - Analyzed existing search engine. Designed and wrote a search engine implemented with Perl and SQL. Maintained/replaced legacy software written in C running on BSDi and Linux.
R. B. Cass - Designed and created web site for Dental office, using a SQL database, PHP, C on a Linux Server. Included administrator interface and article/news system.
Creative Candle - Designed and implemented web site, including on-line shopping system. Setup Linux server for web site.
Marx Books - Designed and implemented on-line bookstore using Perl, Javascript, MySQL database on a Linux server. Wrote stand-alone book and magazine client/server in C.
Texas Tech University – Revamped security systems including upgrades to centralized LDAP, Kerberos, and the AFS distributed network filesystem. Designed a central sign on system for Windows, Solaris, AIX, Apple OSX, and Linux with centralized AFS home directories and Kerberos authentication.
Nortel Networks - CORBA/Firewall provisioning lead in Data Network Engineering / Systems Design and Development group for Metro and Enterprise Networks.
EDS – Created a scalable, secure Network Management system capable of handling thousands of networks, from many different customers.
Dell Computer Corp Enterprise Expert Center Training, problem determination, testing, tool development. Software and network issues with Linux, Solaris, SCO, BigIP, Windows 2000, NT 4.0, Netware 5.x/6.x. Training for Linux and other flavors of Unix (clustering, administration, scripting, etc). Enterprise server and storage hardware failure analysis. Performance testings of hardware and software on a variety of operating systems (Linux, Windows NT/2000, Solaris, SCO).
