Working as part of a design team, the main focus of my job here was design retro-fitting parts for Aviation Equipment. The job role involved me designing and creating manufacturing drawings but also included much report writing which was required by the FAA, this included FMEA's, Tolerance Analysis & conducting various chemical tests to name a few.

As a CAD/CAM engineer I was mainly involved in manufacturing the product on CNC mills, either by hand programming or via the use of CAM. This allowed my to really have a grasp of how something is manufactured which in turn facilitated my design skills later on. Towards the last 6 months of my time at Peter Copsey Engineering I also took over the designing role, allowing me to directly design a component and then manufacture it, this gave me the chance to value engineer the products
