This is a web project powered by one of the largest search engines throughout the world.
Reed Elsevier (Bowker) is the agency for ISBN in USA. Responsible for developing ASP
pages for stock availability of publications based on different regions throughout the
world, including the US, UK, Canada etc. Specifically responsible for:
Developing COM objects in VB6.0 using ActiveX DLLs, and installing them into MTS
for processing multiple requests.
Developing stored procedures, views, triggers, compiling procedures and calling these
procedures in ASP pages. For this, we have used Oracle 8i as backend.
Using JavaScript for client side validation and VBScript on server side.
Using ASP ADO object to communicate with database, and creating dynamic web
pages by using connection object, command object, recordset object and stored procedures.
Using cascading style sheets, XSL for data display of web documents.
Using MS SMTP protocol for mailing system, using ASP CDO NTS object.
Execution of unit testing, regression testing while integrating with other modules.
Also worked on bug fixing \ enhancement of existing stored procedures and asp pages.
Used OLE for including custom objects like MS-Access, Java applets.

Alerts Management System
Web Developer
Responsible for creating and maintaining different types of alerts (system, performance,
RFI, Status) for Pfizer Research Group, which is involved in different types of
health care research activities.
This application was developed in a three-tier architecture, with Active Server Pages 3
as the front-end, Visual Basic 6.0, VC++, COM as the middle tier and Oracle 8i
as the database.
Used ADO 2.0 to communication with the database by using record set, connection
and command objects.
Specifically responsible for developing Visual Basic dlls, designing Active Server Pages
and calling those dll’s to get information from the database.
Worked with MTS for transaction support, called stored procedures in Visual Basic
dlls to manipulate data and wrote dll functions for creating, updating and deleting
different types of alerts.
Mailing facility using CDO for NTS object on SMTP protocol.
Used XSL Style sheets using XSLT, CSS, XML DOM to display data on web pages.
Used JavaScript for client side scripting and validation.
Performed testing and bug fixing with respect to both ASP and Visual Basic.
Used OLE, MS-Access 2.0 and MS-Word for custom based web reports

In this project we have used five ASP pages, including Invoice generation, Exceptions
and hyper links to other pages as per specifications.
Data was maintained in the back end (SQL Server 7.0) by using Invoices table,
Exceptions table, Customer’s table, etc.
Database connection was provided through ADO 2.0, using its Recordset Object.
Connection to database is established by using ODBC.
In this project we have used ASP objects such as Request, Response, Session etc and
also components like Adrotator, Content Linking and Browser Capabilities.
Used VB Active X controls, VBD forms, Control arrays etc.
Used ASP- MTS 4.0 for components to support transactions.

This is an intranet project developed with ASP 2.0,using Visual Interdev 6.0 and Oracle 8 as
the back end.
Responsibilities: Design, Coding and Testing
In this project we have used twelve ASP pages, including logon page and hyper links to
other pages as per user's choice.
Data was maintained in the back end (Oracle 8) by using tables like users table,
department table, skill set table etc.
Each table was maintained with Primary Key -Foreign Key relatonship to retrieve
information. When a user opens a login page and enters information, the related
data is collected from users table and corresponding skill set tables.
Database connection was done through ADO 2.0, using its Connection, Recordset
Objects. Connection to database is established by using ODBC.
In this project we have used ASP objects like Request, Response, Session etc and also
