I have taken several images and combined them into a single image in photoshop to get across the general idea of what I would like my tattoo to look like. I'd like to make it more cohesive so that the design of the different elements is the same. It is a tattoo that will go on my arm with the circular part with a tree on my shoulder with the birds just peaking out of the collar on my t-shirt top and the bottom roots just peaking out of the sleeve of my t-shirt. I'll try to give a lot of direction with links to photos and descriptions of what I like.

What it is (top down):

-tree inside a circular mandala (I like this mandala best https://www.pinterest.com/pin/359865826464871343/) that is being blown away by the wind (blown kind of like this https://www.pinterest.com/pin/359865826461137357/). -The tree is drawn in a way that:
*when it comes to the style I'd like the entire tattoo to have, I like the look of this tree's wood style (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/359865826450815033/) but also like, just like less, this tree's style because I'm drawn toward angular and precise, but it's too much that way (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/359865826464871577/) In other words, I like the style of the first more, but am slightly drawn towards the second and if the second were done very well I'd probably go with that, but not sure. This is similar to the feel I like of the first, just without the blossoms (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/359865826465127830/)
*I like the bend of this tree trunk and the feel it gives the image instead of just a regular straight trunk (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/359865826452667344/)
*half of it is black and half white to show a ying yang symbol (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/359865826452480111/)
-the roots of the tree extend down into a DNA double helix (I very poorly did this, needs significant improvement) Here is where I got the idea from (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/359865826464871174/) but doing it in the trunk seems not possible since the trunk inside the circle will be small so I like the idea of turning the roots into the helix, especially considering that I want to make the whole tattoo extend from my tshirt collar to the edge of my sleeve so when I'm wearing an average t-shirt you see about an inch of the top and bottom of the tattoo. -the DNA turns into tree roots that look like the Norse myth tree called Yggdrasil (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/359865826453111888/). I want those roots to wrap around my bicep with the names of my wife and children in them. The image looks like the roots make a flat circle, but that's just to show the roots are continuous.

Other options:
-I'd like the option of having some scales included. I like this idea of them hanging off each side of the tree or maybe even the mandala, but can't think of a good way to do that.
