I have a data set on ready to eat cereals. Each product, say, the first one, product description=GENERAL MILLS CHEERIOS REGULAR OAT BOX READY TO EAT CEREAL 15OZ, product identifier=1600066610. Each product is followed for 95 weeks. the job is for each product identifier, I need 5 product characteristics - calories, carb, protein, size (this is already described in the "product Description") and Sugar. These information are on the web. So for the very first product, go to the following website: [login to view URL] and you will see that calories=100, carb=20, etc. I have filled in the first 7695 rows. Take a look at these carefully. So for each product, find these 5 values on the net and fill them in and copy for 95 times. This is because each product is followed for 95 weeks. Then move to the next product.
First fill all these info for all products EXCEPT those that are labeled PRIVATE LABEL (between rows 28407-41896).
Between rows 28407 and 41896, you see brands that are labeled PRIVATE LABEL.... For these products, find some matching product among the branded products such as Kelloggs, General Mills, etc. Just search for similar characteristics. Once you find one, use that data for this. or use the web to find similar products and then use these characteristics.
Therefore, altogether you will have to find product characteristics for about 419 products.
This is a fairly straighforward job.
