Fix Opencart 'Journal' theme bug

An issue has arisen with our OpenCart installation, which is a modified version of the popular theme - 'Journal'. As background - our previous web developer is no longer trading and so we need to reach out to someone who has experience in these matters.
Our staff member says they updated info in the Extensions > Journal Control Panel Editor... and then all the menus disappeared on the front end site... and the css appears to have dropped off.
We are looking for someone confident in these matters, experienced in opencart who can resolve this and who would be willing to take on freelance work ongoing for keeping this site maintained (so future work too).
We'd appreciate honest bids and someone looking to setup a relationship for future maintenance.
