We need to use the Sphinx-3 ASR engine to recognise words/phrases in continous speech provided using a 8kHz input, rather then the 16kHz input for which the currently available Sphinx-3 engine is configured to use. The sound source to Sphinx-3 will be a G.711 stream The main work will involve generating a 8kHz Acoustic Model, to allow 8kHz stream input be used. ## Deliverables All components required to setup Sphinx-3 to receive and recognise words from provided 8kHz stream, including the 8kHz continous speech Acoustic Model.
