Ticker-like Applet

We are looking for somebody to develop a ticker like applet, that would work also as a quick-launch icon. This applet would allow a user to login to his account on an already existing manager site and have access to data of his database with the site. The main purpose of this applet, is to allow users to access and observe relevant data, without having to use the web-browser. (e.g. for users who due to their jobs would not be able to browse a gaming site, but who wouldn't have problems to accompany an applet. Among the relevant data are: - verification and alert of new e-mail - verification of new guestbook entry (with possible peek through the applet to it) - verification and alert about a new challenge made by another user - Ticker-like display of results of last matches - allow user to observe transfer market and make auction bids through the applet All of the above functions already exist in the site, and it would be a matter of the applet syncing or accessing the databases or functions in the site through the login.
