Hi I pleased to introduce myself as a managerial person holding certification in Cost & Management accounting. I started my career preparing cost sheets for import product. I am working for an Australian client where I make costing for imported products in multi currency. I believe knowledge of excel is not enough and it requires experience to provide for expenses. Usually the method involved in calculating landed cost is to accumulate all the expenses of different imports in one account with codes identifying expenses to their respective shipments. On receipt of materials at the warehouse the sheet is closed and landed cost calculated. Thanks

Hello there! I am interested in your project and have query with regard to its completion on time. 1. The purchases are made in Euro, this should be first converted to NZD. But what about allowances? are they in NZD or requires conversion? 2. Landed cost shall be = Purchases (to be converted to NZD from Euro) + International Freight (to be converted to NZD from EURO) - Rebate (to be converted to NZD from Euro) + Domestic Freight (which shall be in NZD, hence does not require conversion). Let me know if I am going right? 3. To work out on Net margin in GP$; we need to convert the landed cost from NZD to GP$ ? I also presume that retail sell are in GP$? So, the difference between Retail sell (in GP$) and Landed Cost of Purchase (after converting from NZD to GP$) shall give "Net Margin in GP$" .
