Raspberry - Overlay image and text in a OMXplayer playing a live stream

HI, Please provide the bash script, text 1 & 2, and details for the Restful API JSON , i will try to make a solution for you. There is no way to show text in the GPU, all need to be convert to image or video. NOTE: omxplayer handle "layers" with -layer option , but in my experience omxplayer can create a lot of problems with this option in the raspberry ( with pi 3 , not tested with 3+ or 4 ), you can run for some time the solution and then the GPU will block and block omxplayer or the pi. Also the movie length and format is important for the test solution, some very short videos ( 10 seconds ) create problems at some time. David

I developed command line apps that writes text and draws to framebuffer before. I should be able to write you anything over oxmplayer. Is it all static text?
