We are Kontextor, a translation and localization company based in Berlin, Germany. At the moment we are looking for a English native content specialist in São Paulo for a full time project, which will take 6 months and can be extended up to 1 year. The successful candidate must be an English native or bilingual. The Content Specialist will be responsible for the quality of adapted content for non-US markets. The main objective of this role is to ensure that product based email content is accurate and culturally appropriate. To achieve this, the Content Specialist will work closely with the US source author, product owner, production manager and in-country cross-functional teams. Specific Duties The responsibilities for this role include: o Modifying or re-writing content in English to ensure it is: o Accurate from feature availability point of view o Culturally appropriate o Approved by Compliance/Legal teams o Updating, writing and implementing content to reflect product updates or regional and/or country specific features requirements o Working closely with Global Content Governance team, Linguists and Content Managers to ensure we follow the guidelines from the content playbook, glossary, voice & tone and style guides o Leading the legal review process o Using project management principles to ensure deliverables are met o Working in an internal email content management tool, including testing to ensure proper email rendering o Partnering with global stakeholders in across multiple time zones Education and/or Relevant Experience: o Native or bilingual proficiency in English o Excellent writing and editing skills o Critical thinking and creative problem solving skills o 3+ year previous work experience writing, editing or adapting content for global audiences o Familiarity with localization/translation processes a plus o Experience creating and sending emails a plus o Ability to work within tight and often-changing deadlines o Ability to work with and communicate effectively to diverse individuals o Strong organizational and project management skills o Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, HCI or related field.
