This is a request for transcription of a weekly radio call-in show. There is mainly one host but sometimes a co-host. This is a new show with only a single broadcast so far but I want to get our ducks in a row and be set up to have an ongoing transcriptionist working with us regularly. The host of the show has also had many radio and television appearances in the past that I may like to go back and have transcribed depending on cost.
The radio show is approximately one hour a 20 minutes and will be that length consistently each week. It is a parenting call-in show with about 5 or 6 callers during the show who call in to discuss their parenting questions and problems. Once I select a bidder, I will provide that person with a link to a Flash interface on our website where I post our radio appearances. The interface has play/pause/rewind control and should be fine for transcribing. If the mp3 file is needed, I can provide a link directly to the mp3 file.
Once transcribed, the text will be syndicated (with RSS) from our website. So the final document needs to be formatted very nicely with paragraphs in appropriate places, with all extraneous words removed and generally cleaned up.
I am looking for someone who will be available on a long-term basis to transcribe this radio show with the occasional TV and radio appearances from other guest appearances.
I selected "copywriting" and "proofreading" for job type, neither of which pertain to this job really. But hopefully a seasoned professional in this field will stumble on this project anyway.
