ILLUSTRATORS ONLY - NO GRAPHIC DESIGNERS WILL BE HIRED WHAT KIND OF ILLUSTRATOR I AM LOOKING FOR: An illustrator with a lot of experience with dogs and children's books. Someone who likes detail, and understands lighting and texture elements. OUTLINE: A customisable picture book about the relationship between the family dog and one of the family children. TARGET MARKET: Picture book for children ages 3-8 years old. PAGE NUMBERS: 17 DPS Spreads including front and back cover. (34 pages) 3 CUSTOMISABLE ELEMENTS: DOGS: Will create variations for the top 20 most popular dogs. CHILDREN: - Create 6 variations of races. See reference. - 2 genders, boy and girl. But looking to have the girl the same as the boy, just with longer hair so only a slight alteration. ILLUSTRATION ELEMENTS REQUIRED: BACKGROUNDS: 1 - Front and back cover spread. 16 – Dog and child story spreads (one child, dog and background per spread) (Each scene will be a DPS landscape A4) CHILDREN: 17 boy illustrations. (Alternative skin tones colouring done externally) 17 slight adjustments for girl hair. (Pen only – colour to be outsourced) BACKGROUNDS: 16 backgrounds of different locations. DOGS: 17 illustrations of one dog breed. (ink and colour) 323 ink sketches (17spreads X 19 remaining dog breeds) (No colour required, to be done by me) IDEAL TIMELINES (Semi flexible): Week Commence Aug 25. 4 week turn around. Completed Sept 21.
