Google SEO

I am looking to hire an expert who provides excellent Google SEO services. I currently own a Magento-based website and I need a skilled person to set-up the Google SEO processes on my site. I have done some of the key steps already but I was not very successful, and the results were very poor. When typing my own company's name and/or other keywords in Google, it doesn't appear until the third or fourth result down. I also don't like what appears in the search results because it's not in the same professional lay-out as other big companies. I need help to clean this up. I don't want to be the first company that appears when a customer searches keywords. However, I want my company to be displayed properly on Google and other popular search engines. I am unsure of what the SEO process consists of and I need someone who is a quick and experienced worker that will treat us right. I am a very loyal customers and will be coming back for more SEO projects in the future. I have received an analysis from a SEO company and they told me the following: ARCHITECTURE - The current website doesn’t appear to have any issues with architecture. WEBSITE CODE - Descriptions and keyword tags are missing. There are missing ALT tags on images. No H1 tags are in use on the homepage. Some JavaScript code could be externalized. In the website code there are 42 errors and 16 warnings according to W3C. SITE CONTENT - The site doesn’t have much content to help reinforce the overall theme of the pages. Needs to make better use of interlinking of pages within content. LINK POPULARITY - Very few links are pointing into the website [login to view URL] is not listed in most of the major web directories. There are no authoritative links pointing into the website. Once again, I would like to reiterate that our wesbite platform is through Magento. Some of the SEO set-up has been done but it's obviously not done correctly. We are on a tight budget and will hire the most experienced and reasonably priced individual.
