Hotel reservations and accountant

I am the owner of a small hotel in Anchorage, Alaska (Qupqugiaq Inn, [login to view URL]) and need help with behind the scenes work, especially improving our reservations for this summer, and also in managing our income on a daily basis. There will be a fair amount of initial work checking, updating and adding to our existing Reservation system (SiteMinder, third party sites and WebRezPro), and then daily work (possibly about one hour per day) checking daily Income. We should also improve other forms of marketing, such as our Google Adwords. Reservations and marketing We need to improve our reservations system for third party sites ASAP. The summer season is beginning in a couple of weeks and we have very few reservations so far - I think because something is going wrong with our programs. We are using the channel manager SiteMinder to control sites such as [login to view URL], Expedia, Agoda and more. But we can add any number of additional sites at no charge. All of the information is passed through to our hotel reservation software WebRezPro, where the rates are set. We need to review this and structure the systems immediately for as many potential reservations as possible! Income We need help reviewing and updating hotel income on a daily basis - to ensure that the business is taking in the correct income through its proprietary hotel booking software and third party sites The goal is to track income of every room, using WebRezPro, and cross-referencing with the third party sites ([login to view URL], Expedia, etc). Check every reservation for proper entry. Check that rates charged are correct. Key duties - Perform the daily night audit to reconcile the core accounts of the booking software. - Confirm that all hotel rooms are charged the correct amount using the hotel's booking software. - Where discounts are given on hotel stays, ensure these are in line with hotel policy daily and prepare a simple weekly report to senior management of all discounts. - Charge all cancellations made the relevant amount based on our cancellation policy - Charge all no shows and register the no show on third-party sites as appropriate. Mark all no shows as no shows on third party sites such as Booking and Expedia. - Reconcile reservations with third party sites. - Check-outs for the day - Reconciliation report - Cash & credit reconciliation - If a discount is given or a rate is overridden, check that this is justified by Inn policy.
