I have made a website in iweb jennymcevoy.com. i am unable to install an appointment scheduler into the iweb website. the iweb website doesn't appear to look good on all browsers and i cant optimise it for search engines easily.
i am using mac osx 10.5 laptop
So i would like my current iweb website to be converted into joomla or word press if that is better and easier to use, i reckon i could probably do it, but i have just learnt iweb and never done this before and I need to try and earn money and I need this completed quickly in order to earn money in my very new business.
the appointment scheduler is in stivasoft and seems quite straight forward however I just cant get it to work in my book an appointment page in my current website and the company i purchased it from cannot assist, i have tried everything I can think of, so it will also need to be installed on website, the back end on my isp site is already done and working, so this aspect will not be hard. it is two steps.
this job is to convert my iweb website as it is, or design a better format if you can make it work with drop down menus(that was too hard to do in iweb), into joomla or wordpress, i have an ftp site using [url removed, login to view], i have the iweb template files located on my ftp site already, and i need to ensure my website is optimised so that i draw traffic to my business as quickly as possible please? and I need to be able to update my new site myself if needed and be able to optimise it myself in future also. I would also like you to install the calendar into my bookings page if possible so it is just done and working for me please. And i love the iweb template i am currently using.
thanks very much i am on a very tight budget
thanks again i am looking forward to hearing from you
my website is www.jennymcevoy.com
it is available to view at present online
i have purchased the appointment scheduler from stivasoft/phpjabbers. it is a two step process apparently to install in a normal website and is simple enough as they have done the sql in the back end. however i have built my website using iweb. and nobody can seem to get the appointment scheduler to work on iweb. it is an easy two step process on another website programme. its just iweb is so not user friendly.
IWEB is not user friendly and doesnt allow you to gain any visibility in google searches etc.
I have built my website using iweb and need to convert it to a site that will easily allow me to optimise it for search engines, and update it if need be as I will be installing other new scripts from phpjabbers in future.
This job is as follows:
convert my iweb site into joomla or wordpress
ensure it is working online and active when finished viewable in all browsers and mobile phone devices
install the appointment scheduler script and install 24 cron jobs. (i have the instructions to do this but it needs to be done 24 times ie once per hour on servage) and fully tested to ensure it is working
install meta tags and optimise my webpage so that it sits high in the ratings of google etc.
IWEB only gives you the option of top menus, i would like the current menu system at top to have drop down menus detailing what is currently on those existing pages(the menus i currently have on side of each page). I would like it to be modern and easily viewable on mobile devices and all web pages and adhere to all guidelines for online optimization etc please? I agree it is dated.
also put in a counter system so that I know how many people have viewed my pages etc. and where they have came from so i can see what advertising works.
thanks very much
I am sorry
I would like to have it converted into wordpress not Joomla as i have just read that wordpress is much easier to use.
thanks very much
i am so confused i really dont know which one i want either joomla, which would have to be set so i have good website visibility/optimisation on google etc or wordpress which appears to be limited with templates etc. I will discuss with winning bidder thanks again and sorry if I sound confused. I had just heard joomla was good thanks jenny
