Rapberry Pi Serial to UDP

I have experience with software development in python. I can make an application that will run on your raspberry pi. I would need to know what model of Raspberry you have, what OS it will run on and how much time I have to develop and test it.

Hi, I will NOT do any programming, I will use standard components! In that way it will be maintained over time by the open source community and easily modified by other DevOP's. I have Linux, Raspberry Pi and Arduino as both professional and hobby interest. I'm an Open Source advocate and a prefer to use standards if there are any. In this case there is RFC's (Internet standard) that covers the needs and there is drivers available for both Linux, MAC and Windows OS. My proposal only covers Linux (Raspberry Pi OS) as described in the project details. Of curiosity, why the demand of UDP? And could another proposal be of consideration, since I think the solution could be simplified, just a thought.
