US Market Research - Youth Sports and Education

This is a fairly simple project that will likely involve a lot of creative Googling and maybe some phone calls. We are looking for current (2010) participation numbers for the following US youth sports: Baseball Basketball Football (American) Golf Gymnastics Ice Hockey Martial Arts Soccer Softball Swimming Tennis For each sport, you will need to provide the following: Total number of 2010 participants per gender Total number of 2010 participants ages 8 to 12 per gender Your source for the information you give us (website, or name and contact info of a person) In addition, we need the total number of public elementary schools in the US. Past work and references are appreciated.
