We have a list of names and numbers. In Excel -we are keeping this simple. You call the people and deliver a short pitch. The purpose of our exercise is a) let them know there is a solution b) let them hear our company name c) get permission to email them after the call d) let them know we are sending a linked in Invitation. Project – Our sales team will train you on the script and prepare you for some questions. Will also spell out the details of the notes they want taken and how they should be taken. Niche – Industrial and Building Automation – the so called Internet of Things People who answer the phone – Are probably sales people and thus willing to take a call. They are the kind of people who are usually at their desks and can take a call. The Pitch – We have a product that adds value to the products they sell. Not a sales call – Its an information call – you deliver a short message , answer a possible question or 2, log the call and make notes and that’s it. If the call sounds like its getting complicated you simply hand over to one of our sales people. The people we are calling sell gasoline pumping systems. We sell a product that allows remote systems to monitor the gas pumping system. NDA and Work product Agreement need to be signed to get paid.
