I have a strategy that I am currently using but have realized there is a small adjustment that can be made to possibly enhance the results. The strategy is a trend following strategy using Hull Moving average and Heikin ashi candles. I want to include a filter that can be turned on or off. If a trade is entered and price immediately goes against the position, I want to terminate the position more quickly. Currently using TP, SL, BE and trailing stop functions. For example, A long was entered and price has not gone higher (within n bars), I want to exit the trade and book the smaller loss. For a long entry, when n bars closes lower than the close of the entry bar, simply exit the trade.
