ICU Survivor (working title) is a digital game app to be developed primarily for the iPhone platform (secondarily Android). The app is to serve two main purposes: Provide people who have survived an ICU visit with games that will address and train their thinking/memory, depression, PTSD, and physical health Provide clinicians with clinical patient data regarding the progress of the patient including logged results from games and digital journals written by the patient The game application will be a series of mini-games centered around core categories and concepts meant to train and engage the patient in various ways. This app will attempt to help patients get better or maintain their health status through interactive play, goal setting, and journaling. In order to assure the best success possible, the game’s user will be able to share their results with their primary care physician. This will require a secure connection to a secure website with login functionality to help protect potentially sensitive data. Physicians should be able to login to their accounts and check progress for their patients, and give basic feedback/communicate directly with their patient through the application in a simple messaging system. For the purposes of this Specification, these two areas will be referred to as Patient Experience and Doctor Experience where necessary. This document is the full project specification.
