IMP Note : No flashy design needed. Just a simple button to invoke the action and saving the results will do. This is for some testing purpose.
I need a custom standalone app to invoke the manual network selection function of any android smartphone and
1. Invoke Manual Network Selection function of an android phone
2. Collect the all the network parameter details retrieved
For eg : If there are 3 networks displayed, we need to save all those parameters retrieved of those networks
3. The location info - GPS should be ON
4. Time when the action is invoked
5. Code to be provided
6. The action to run in background without affecting the user experience.
When u do a manual network search, we can see all the networks available around that place. I need to save the network parameters which are collected by this action. This is not wifi network info, but mobile network info. Information like protocol, packet rate, delay etc and whatever info is captured by the phone.
Use Case explanation
When u do a Manual Network Selection, it displays the names of all the mobile network available in that area. For eg : If my connection is ATT, and when I do a network search, it will show me multiple networks TMobile, Sprint, ATT .. But I'm not connecting to all of them, because I'm an ATT customer. What I need is these parameters of Protocol, Packet Rate and Delay for all those 3 displayed and not just the connected network. There are some parameters which are collected by the phone for T Mobile and Sprint when you do a manual network selection , so that the names are listed
Whoever comes up with the best way to do this will be awarded. The efficiency will be measured on
1. Speed of the operation
2. Low battery consumption
